Baby boy is 16 months today!

I'm not sure where the time has gone.  I look at Eli and see changes everyday.  I kiss his forehead and cheeks so many times a night I'm amazed he isn't rubbed raw.  He is such a joy to me & Kevin and I look forward to the next 100 years...  Nothing like an afternoon ride in his wagon to celebrate 16 months. :)

I love my little sweetheart.

Only the best early birthday present ever!

So every year I think it can't get better and you know as you get older people say, "It's just another day."  Well luckily I have Kevin in my life and he makes sure my birthday is never "just another day."

Yesterday Kevin had to work so I was around here in sweats, my hair thrown up all messy looking, and was doing laundry so there were piles all over the house.  They of course had to be on the bar, table, and top of the couch, etc. so Eli couldn't pull them over.  I get Eli down about 1:45 and had layed down on the couch to take a nap and the doorbell rang.  I felt myself get so angry. I'm like seriously?  The one time I'm going to take a nap and a package gets delivered.  I went to the door and it was Kristen. I knew it was her birthday so I thought well maybe she came to hang out, but she doesn't live anywhere close to me so I thought I have no idea. I was so embarrassed of the house and my looks I was like oh my goodness, BUT before I could say anything here comes Kevin holding tickets to Wicked that said "Happy Birthday Lyndsey."  I could have cried and think I would have if my mind didn't automatically go to the 5 million things I needed to do before we could leave and the infamous, "What am i going to wear?"

We finally got ready and were on our way.  Kevin had made reservations at Johnnie's Hideaway.  Let me say he took me there for my birthday last year and it is amazing!  It is such a fancy place and they are a business partner of Kevin so he/we always get VIP treatment.  Last night was no exception.
We walked in and automatically when Kevin said reservation for Dunn, they welcomed me and the head lady asked for my name. We were immediately given the best server and seated by the window view. I opened the fancy menu and almost screamed outloud when I saw....

We were treated with five star service.  The chef came out and made some special dishes just for us and brought them to us and wished me a happy birthday.  We had all sorts of people stop to make sure we were good and the food was delicious.  It is probably my favorite restaurant.  They even sent us on our way with dessert to go since we were so full we couldn't eat it there.  It was the PERFECT beginning to the night.

As if that weren't enough, then we were on the way to see Wicked!  I love the music but have never seen it.
A program book.

The stage set to tell the story.

Us waiting to see the show!

It was a great show and Elphaba had a phenomenal voice.  I was blown away everytime she sang.  It was definitely worth seeing, our seats were great and even though musicals aren't Kevin's favorite things he still sat there and was interested in it. Just for me.  I love my life.  Happy Early Birthday to me!  This will surely be hard to top next year!
